One Tree Planted

One Tree Planted is a non-profit environmental charity founded in 2014, dedicated to global reforestation. Operating across North America, Latin America, Africa, Asia, Europe, and the Pacific, their team of over 100 members has a simple yet effective approach: one dollar donated equals one tree planted. This initiative enables anyone worldwide to contribute to reforestation with a single click. With a staggering 92 million trees planted since inception, in partnership with over 681 organizations in more than 80 countries, they are making a substantial impact. Their goal is to continue this exponential growth, furthering global reforestation efforts.

REEFolution

REEFolution is an organization committed to reversing coral degradation and saving reefs from extinction. They focus on both underwater and land-based efforts. Underwater, they restore reefs using methods like coral gardening, artificial reefs, and marine protected areas. On land, they educate local communities for sustainable reef management. Since 2015 in Shimoni, Kenya, they've trained 15 REEF Rangers, restored 3 hectares of coral reefs, placed over 1500 artificial structures, and nurtured 10,000+ young corals annually. Their work, vital for marine life and the planet, grows with support, emphasizing the urgency to protect these underwater 'rainforests'.

Ecosystem Restoration Communities

Ecosystem Restoration Communities (ERC), founded in 2019 and headquartered in the Netherlands, is a global movement dedicated to reversing ecological destruction. With a team of over 30 members, ERC operates in 30 countries across 6 continents, focusing on restoring degraded ecosystems. The initiative encourages diverse participation, from hands-on activities to donations and learning, supporting both large and small-scale projects. With 56 communities and over 20,000 earth restorers, they have planted 3.2 million trees, rejuvenating around 9,000 hectares. ERC's ambitious goal is to unite one million people by 2030 to restore 3 million hectares in 100 communities globally.

Black Jaguar Foundation

The Black Jaguar Foundation, symbolized by the black jaguar, is dedicated to restoring the Amazon’s green corridor, crucial for the survival of diverse species, including the elusive black jaguar. Initially envisioned as a documentary project by Ben Valks, the focus shifted to ecological restoration upon witnessing the Amazon's deforestation. The foundation aims to plant 1.7 billion native trees to restore 1 million hectares, creating the world's longest biodiversity corridor. This corridor will capture 262 million tons of carbon and support local communities. The ultimate hope is to bring back the black jaguar, rekindling its presence in the Amazon.

Life Terra

Life Terra Foundation, active in 20 countries across Europe, is a major climate action initiative focused on enabling impactful climate action through tree planting, education, and developing tree monitoring technology. Their philosophy is "the right tree in the right place at the right time", ensuring effective land restoration and ecosystem resilience. The foundation allows individuals to adopt trees, contributing to reforestation and ecosystem preservation. They have achieved significant milestones in their first three planting seasons (2020-2023), involving many citizens and classrooms in their efforts. Life Terra supports the UN's Sustainable Development Goals, particularly focusing on climate action and life on land.
