About the art

The project "Graphic Poem: Between Sky and Sea", 2024
It is a unique blend of visual and verbal reflections, inspired by the contemplation of Cyprus’ coastlines, the sea, and horizons. During the creative process, the idea of a connection between the navigational routes of ships, depicted on maritime maps, and the flight patterns of birds, as seen through the phenomenon of murmuration, emerged.
Although the paths of ships and birds traverse different environments — seas and continents — their trajectories share similar fluidity, dynamics, and forms, which became the foundation for the author's reflections. These visual comparisons evoke a sense of harmony and contrast between two elements — air and water, sky and sea.
The project is intentionally left emotionally unfinished, inviting the viewer to draw their own conclusions and interpretations, offering space for personal thoughts and observations.
