About the author
Nata Chebarkova is a Russian abstract artist based in Cyprus. The idea of inner freedom, emancipation, self-realization, overcoming internal boundaries is the main theme of her work.Nata Chebarkova is a member of the Association of Artists of the Mediterranean (AMA Cyprus), a co–founder of the alternative project "I was in Ulyanovsk" and the community of creative people "ARRT" in Cyprus. She graduated from Ulyanovsk State University (Ulyanovsk, Russia) with a degree in Industrial design, she is the winner of the Talent Prizeof the art competition from Art Show International Gallery (Los Angeles, USA) in the category "Abstraction".
Nata took part in group exhibitions and presented personal projectsin Russia and Cyprus. Since 2022 she has been workingas a curator.
About the art
The artwork is about stories of our life. It’s made entirely of natural elements - chalk dust from Cyprus, where the artist lives 8 years, petals and herbs from her motherland by her parents ground in a blender, volcanic sand and lava from Island, moss - almost everything was collected simply in the course of life, thus forming its overall picture. Each element has its own story. And Nata is in love with these little individual stories that make all of us who we are now. It is always interesting to know how our personality has been formed to this point.
