About the author
Color and its transformation, magical realism, partly degradation and multilayeredness - these are some of the points of interest for Ilya Pospelov that he reflects in his canvases.
He was born in 1989 in a small town on the periphery of Russia (Gai) and has made his artistic path through traveling and meeting artists. A big influence on the colorfulness of his works was India, where he stayed for about 3 years.
Currently, the artist is based in Brazil, Florianopolis, where he gets acquainted with new colors and forms a new vision. He is also building an art community and experimenting with new materials (bamboo, printing on clothes, stencils).
